, بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Deen & Letters started from one of the lowest moments of my life. Countless du'as and multiple Tahajjud prayers later, and I was still in the waiting room. The trial shook my iman, but I kept showing up for each salah even when every salah became a trigger because every salah became a reminder of my unanswered prayer. That season made me realize that my perception and opinion of Allah wasn't as solid as I thought it was and I had to check myself; is having a good perception and opinion of Allah conditional to my du'a being answered?
Whether you're in your harvest season or you're still in the waiting room, Deen & Letters is our space to become more intentional about our deen, our relationship with Allah and build seeds of yaqeen (trust) through the different seasons of our life and the different trials of this dunya.
Allah says: "I am as My servant thinks of Me. I am as My servant expects me to be" ~ (Sahih Al-Bukhari, hadith Qudsi)
This is my du'a for you:
May Allah meet you in your waiting room with gentleness.
May He strengthen your iman in the moments that feel heavy.
May He replace your worry with yaqeen, and your fear with peace.
May He accept every tear you’ve hidden in sujood, and every prayer you whispered when no one could hear you.
And may you look back one day and realize that even the delay was mercy.
Ameen. 🤍
Welcome to Deen & Letters and may we help one another be more intentional about our deen and build full trust & good expectation of Allah, Insha Allah.
